Open Rank (TT), Simulation Modeling; Dept of Management, Policy and Community Health, School of Public Health
UTHealth Houston School of Public Health invites applications to fill an open rank tenure-track faculty position in the Texas Medical Center. This position is available within the Department of Management, Policy and Community Health. The department seeks faculty to lead in simulation modeling the impact of public health policies, such as related to Medicaid eligibility and service coverage. Simulation methods include agent-based modeling, microsimulation, system dynamics modeling, discrete event analysis, Markov modeling, and other dynamic econometric and engineering methods.
Position Key Accountabilities:
Primary responsibilities will be:
(1) Conducting externally funded research focused on health priorities of Texas populations.
(2) Mentoring emerging scholars in simulation modeling techniques.
(3) Teaching in MPH and/or doctoral programs.
(4) Serving in institutional and external capacities.
Qualifications:
(1) Ph.D. or DrPH.
(2) Current or potential NIH-, HRSA, or PCORI- funding
(3) History of collegiality and openness to collaboration with a diverse range of partners, including community-based.
