McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston, a leading academic health center, invites applications for a full-time Instructor position in the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Services, division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine.

 

 

Position Key Accountabilities:

 

 

The Instructor in Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Sciences will oversee all Clinical Research operations for the Maternal Fetal Medicine division.

 

  • Supervises the research staff, and work with clinical staff and faculty for the execution of the protocols.

  • Makes decisions about research staff requirements and manages the financial situation of the organization. 

  • Works closely with the leadership team to meet the research needs.

  • Assesses new protocols for operational feasibility and resources required and helps make the decision.

  • Designs clinical studies for the clinical questions in collaboration with clinical faculty. 

  • Oversees the preparation and submission of applications to Institutional Review Board (IRB) and Federal and Drug Administration (FDA). 

  • Supervises data analyst to evaluate the accuracy and completeness and readies the data for publications and grants. 

  • Oversees all research protocols for timely preparedness for Data Safety Monitoring Board (DSMB) meetings, data audits for FDA.

  • Leads the projects to establish industry collaborations for creating protocols and data development for device or drug approval for the FDA. 

  • Collaborates with external collaborators to execute clinical protocols including clinical trials

 

Qualifications:

 

The selected candidate for the position must have a Doctor of Nursing degree.  Required board certification as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse for the State of Texas – Women’s Healthcare.
