The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth), a leading academic health center, invites applications for two tenure-track faculty appointments in the area of neurodegenerative diseases in the Department of Neurobiology and Anatomy at McGovern Medical School.

We seek applications from candidates who explore molecular, cellular and/or circuit mechanisms underlying neurodegeneration and dementia.

We are located within the Texas Medical Center and its very rich and collaborative neuroscience community including Baylor College of Medicine, The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, Rice University and the University of Houston.

Position Key Accountabilities:

Individuals will be expected to develop a strong, independent research program and contribute to our departmental teaching mission.

Qualifications:

Applicants must have a doctoral degree (Ph.D., M.D./Ph.D.) and postdoctoral experience.

Interested applicants should submit electronically their curriculum vitae, a statement of their research and teaching interests, and the names of three references. Applications should be submitted by December 2, 2019. The search will remain open until suitable candidates are identified.

Applications at both junior and senior levels will be considered, with rank dependent on experience and qualifications.
