MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • A doctoral degree in nursing or related field (Ph.D., DrPH) and eligibility for licensure as a registered nurse in Texas are required Meet qualifications for the rank of tenure track/tenured Associate Professor/Professor.

  • Minimum of two years of teaching/mentoring experience in higher education.

  • Familiarity with academic roles, rules, policies, and procedures.

  • Record of ongoing scholarship.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Two years of experience in a leadership role in academia and/or research.

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Growth mindset with demonstrated professional development goals.

  • Ability to motivate and support faculty in achieving excellence in teaching roles.

  • Maintains a high level of integrity and ethical practice.

  • Demonstrates inclusivity and respect for diversity.

 

Additional certifications may be required or desired depending on the specialty area (e.g. CRNA, NP-BC).
