McGovern Medical School at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth), a leading academic health center, invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure clinical track, Assistant Professor level position in the Department of Neurosurgery.

The selected candidate will contribute to the department’s mission to educate health professionals, discover and translate advances in neuroscience care, and model the best practices in clinical care and public health through research, teaching, clinical service, and administrative activities.

 

Position Key Accountabilities:


Responsibilities will include supervision of students, residents and fellows in both clinic and hospital settings. Participation in the Department’s practice and pursuit of scholarly activities is strongly encouraged. The position will include a clinical practice (inpatient and outpatient services) at the Memorial Hermann Hospital - Texas Medical Center and clinics in our community locations.

The successful applicant will contribute to the continued growth and development of an already established comprehensive program which includes educational and research initiatives in spine and general neurosurgery.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Board Certified in Neurosurgery.

  • Texas Medical License or be eligible for a Texas Faculty Temporary License before employment.

 

Academic rank and salary are commensurate with qualifications and experience.
