RESPONSIBILITIES: The successful candidate will join the Center for Systems Medicine team. They must have expertise in computational biology, machine learning and molecular and cellular biology. He/she will apply expertise in statistical modeling and data mining to single cell sequencing data analysis and human disease models. The candidate will also work on NIH funded projects related to single cell sequencing studies, LncRNA function studies and epigenetic studies. The candidate should be proficient in working with a PI to submit research findings for publication in order to advance scientific knowledge; in addition, he/she should be able to assist a PI in obtaining grant funding and other types of financial support.
QUALIFICATIONS: The individual should possess a doctoral degree in one of the following areas: bioinformatics, genomics, genetics, computational biology, biomedical informatics, computer science, medicine, biostatistics, or related disciplines. A record of verifiable and published research in bioinformatics and genomics and potential for obtaining extramural funding are preferred. Excellent teamwork and communication skills are required.
