McGovern Medical School at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth), a leading academic health center, invites applications for a full-time (1.0 FTE), at the Assistant/Associate Professor or Professor title in the Department of Emergency Medicine. 


Position Key Accountabilities:


  • Providing clinical service effort at Memorial Hermann and Lyndon B. Johnson Hospital helping to supervise medical care in the Emergency Center

  • Providing clinical care of students and residents, and scholarship.  The exact mix of these responsibilities will be determined by your interests and role, subject by the department's needs and the approval of the department chair.

  • Participating in all departmental activities including meetings and teaching conferences 


Additional Summary Specific to Job:


Participation in the Department's teaching activities including both the medical student and house staff educational programs, didactic conferences, seminars, lectures, and case presentations, as well as enthusiastic support of the Department's professional activities. 





Candidates MUST have an MD/DO, be board certified or eligible in Emergency Medicine, and be eligible for full medical licensure in Texas.
