CERTIFICATIONS/SKILLS:
• Excellent communications skills (both verbal and written)
• High level of computer skill and technical aptitude
• Proven problem-solving/troubleshooting skills
• Preferred: Experience with one or more of the following educational/administrative technology 
systems
• Learning Management System (Canvas, Blackboard, etc.)
• Computer-based Testing Systems (ExamSoft, Questionmark etc.)
• Lecture Capture System (Panopto, Kaltura, etc.) 
• Audience Response System (PollEverywhere, Top Hat, etc.)
• Video Conferencing Software (Teams, WebEx, Zoom, etc.)
• Survey Tools (Qualtrics, SurveyMonkey, Google Forms, etc.)
• Courseware Creation Tools (Articulate Storyline, Camtasia, etc.)
• Administrative Software (Interfolio, EXXAT, AMP, SmartEvals, etc.)
• Preferred: Familiarity with web development and design principles and tools
• Preferred: Understanding of current educational theories and best practices

 

MINIMUM EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree, preferably in Education, Instructional / Educational Technology, Instructional Design or a 
related field, or relevant work experience in lieu of education.

 

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:
One (1) year of related experience in instructional design, web development, or educational technology, or 
related fields, or equivalent combination of education, teaching/training, and applications support.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Exerts up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds frequently and/or a negligible amount 
constantly to move objects.

 

SECURITY SENSITIVE: 
This job class may contain positions that are security sensitive and thereby subject to the provisions of Texas 
Education Code § 51.215
