Position Summary:

This position exists to provide clerical support for the day-to-day operations of this department in service of our research mission. It is a hand-on job requiring much interaction with all members of the department,

Position Key Accountabilities:

  1. Organizes weekly seminars, post flyers, set-up of the itinerary, make travel arrangements, and secure reimbursements.
  2. Organize daily mail; send out packages and perishables samples for express mail.
  3. Maintain departmental printers and office supply inventory
  4. Maintain departmental bulletin boards and update them regularly
  5. Recording receiving slips from daily deliveries to the labs
  6. Disbursing and tracking department keys
  7. Other duties as assigned.

Certification/Skills:

Working knowledge of standard Office Software such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook is required. 
FMS training with a passing score may be required.
Use of University financial systems may be required.

Minimum Education:

High School diploma or equivalent. 

Minimum Experience:

Three (3) years of general office experience. May substitute required experience with equivalent years of education beyond the minimum education requirement. 

Prior experience in the health care setting preferred
Prior experience scheduling and maintaining calendars & travel itineraries.
Prior experience with preparing meeting materials or general reports preferred.

Physical Requirements:

Exerts up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up-to 10 pounds frequently and/or a negligible amount constantly to move objects.
