Senior Multimedia Specialist (HYBRID) - Texas Epidemic Public Health Institute
Certification/Skills:
- Strong HD video/audio production/editing and photography skills
- Strong computer, writing, and communications skills, including Associated Press writing style
- Proficiency with software packages including but not limited to Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with content management systems, social media knowledge, and experience with Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, Flickr, YouTube, etc.
- Knowledge of project management preferred
Preferred:
- Superior written, verbal, and digital communication skills
- Proven graphic design experience with a keen eye for aesthetics and details
- Experience with content management system(s)
- Knowledge in producing well-written, creative copy with a strong knowledge of AP style
- Demonstrates problem-solving skills and works well in a team environment
- Experience in public health or governmental communications
- Experience with paid digital and search engine marketing
Minimum Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Communications or related field and five (5) years of related experience preferably with digital communications, photography, video, and social media or
- Associate’s Degree in Communications or related field and seven (7) years of related experience preferably with digital communications, photography, video, and social media.
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, journalism, communications, graphic design, or an allied field.
Minimum Experience:
- Five (5) years of related experience preferably with digital communications, photography, video, and social media with a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications or related field or
- Seven (7) years of related experience preferably with digital communications, photography, video, and social media with an Associate’s Degree in Communications or related field.
Physical Requirements: Exerts up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up-to 10 pounds frequently and/or a negligible amount constantly to move objects.Security Sensitive: This job class may contain positions that are security-sensitive and thereby subject to the provisions of Texas Education Code § 51.215
