CERTIFICATIONS/SKILLS:

    • Knowledge and understanding of general medical terminology; clinical methods, procedures, and applications.
    • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal. Must be comfortable and effective in communicating with potential study participants from a diverse population.
    • Proficient and confident with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
    • Experience with coordinating and organizing multicenter trials
    • Experience with patient consenting and collecting data
    • Experience with IRB submissions and preparation of protocol related documents
    • Knowledge and understanding of the principals of good clinical practices including ethical issues, patient rights, regulations and guidelines for clinical research.
    • Proficient with performing general office procedures and the ability to apply these in scheduling patients and adhering to established procedures.

 

Prefer: Master’s degree in a related field with a minimum of three  years of experience with coordinating research studies (preferably multicenter trials); or Doctorate degree

 

 

 

Minimum education: Bachelor’s degree or two years of clinical research experience in lieu of every year of education plus certification from the Society of Clinical Research Associates (SOCRA), Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP), Research Administrators Certification Council (RACC), Certified IRB Professional (CIP) or, Regulatory Affairs Certification (RAC). If applicant has a bachelor’s degree, certification is not required.

 

Minimum experience:

Five years of relevant experience. May substitute required experience with equivalent years of education beyond the minimum education requirement.
