Position Summary:
The project manager will oversee the dissemination and outreach of center-related materials, including performing initial edits of written materials and presentations (for both internal and external audiences). This candidate will also check for clarity and grammatical accuracy, as well as review materials as an "informed, educated" reader. They will also create newsletters, reports, announcements, manage social media, maintain websites, and handle other communication materials. Materials will be shared from the department with stakeholders.
This role will plan, organize and coordinate project management activities across a variety of areas: strategic operations, communications, product development, program management, and web development in order to ensure the implementation of projects in a manner that maintains within budget, on-schedule, and of the highest quality. This hybrid role will be located in the greater Houston area.

Position Key Accountabilities:
- Provides project management services to project directors and faculty leads.
- Coordination and management of project planning, project development, and strategic planning among various staff and determines proper project delivery methods.
- Leads and supervises technology development.
- May coordinate e-learning projects with faculty and community.
- Oversees, and may perform cost estimating, design, project scheduling and budgeting, quality assurance, communication, procurement, and project closeout.
- May manage ongoing procurements and vendor relationships for grant initiatives.
- Ensures project controls, tracking and performance measurement, and reporting and product delivery objectives are met.
- Oversees communications, internally and externally, including community engagement activities. Liaisons with UTHealth Communications.
- Supports upper management with long-term planning, external relationship development, and staff development.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Certification/Skills:
Minimum Education:
Bachelor’s degree in project management, leadership, and planning, administration, or related field (public health, health communications, behavioral health sciences, research, prevention science).
Minimum Experience:
Five years experience in project management.
Physical Requirements:
Exerts up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently and/or a negligible amount constantly to move objects.

Residency Requirement:
Employees must permanently reside and work in the State of Texas.
