Certification/Skills:

* Certifications in relevant areas such as PeopleSoft, Oracle, and Microsoft are highly desirable.  ERP systems implementation and support experience is highly desirable.
* A broad knowledge of automated systems; including VMS, MVS, NT, UNIX; large complex application systems with multiple file structures; and/or large data networks
* Requires strong study and research skills for input into institutional technical direction.

 

Minimum Education:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business, or related discipline or related experience in lieu of education.

Minimum Experience:

 Five years experience working with ERP systems, relational databases, and other software applications in a large-scale enterprise-wide environment.

Physical Requirements:

Exerts up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds frequently and/or up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects.

Security Sensitive:

This job class may contain positions that are security sensitive and thereby subject to the provisions of Texas Education Code § 51.215


Preferred Skills: 

-Ability to deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot PeopleSoft infrastructure (Webservers, Application Servers, Process Schedulers)
-Complete understanding of Oracle/Peoplesoft Security Model
-Prior experience maintaining Oracle/Peoplesoft Security for online users
-Familiar with Oracle/Peoplesoft Object Migrations
