Position Summary:

Provides support for educational technology systems and applications to faculty, staff and students on a school-wide basis. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential. 


Position Key Accountabilities:

  • Provides comprehensive Canvas Learning Management System support.
  • Coordinates, develops and organizes programs including workshops and training sessions to inform faculty on trends in educational technology, methods for effective use of educational technology, and use of specialized tools.
  • Responds to client needs and may collaborate with other information technology staff to identify, develop and implement appropriate educational technology solutions.  Assists in identifying, evaluating, and recommending emerging new e-learning solutions, applications, and approaches.
  • Provides guidance to faculty, students, and staff in effective and efficient use of Canvas and other integrated learning tools. 
  • Maintains knowledge of current and emerging E-Learning products, developments, enhancements, and trends.
  • Uses e-learning authoring software to create teaching and training tools; may develop online training courses to aid in the effective use of educational technology systems and applications.
  • Assists in the determination of support and training needs for educational technology, including the development of online training courses.
  • Assists with classroom audio/visual support when required.
  • May perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Instructional / Educational Technology or related field or relevant work experience in lieu of education.


Minimum Experience:

  • One year of related experience.


Physical Requirements:

  • Exerts up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds frequently and/or up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects.
