Certification/Skills:
- Self-starter with strong interpersonal skills who is able to work as part of a team, independently, and with internal and external partners.
- Attention to detail and ability to quickly understand and remember details about alumni/donors and projects to which they are assigned.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint and the ability to master new software applications and technologies.
- Excellent writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent project management skills, including ability to determine priorities, organizing resources, working effectively with colleagues to achieve goals, and advancing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple complex/confidential tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to make routine decisions and judgment calls.
- Understanding of fundraising principles and effective communication to various donor audiences.
- Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple complex/confidential projects simultaneously in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Minimum Education:
Bachelor’s degree.
Minimum Experience:
Two (2) years of experience in a fundraising, marketing, sales, or fulfillment environment, preferably in a higher education or non-profit setting.
Physical Requirements:
Exerts up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently and/or a negligible amount constantly to move objects.
Security Sensitive:
This job class may contain positions that are security sensitive and thereby subject to the provisions of Texas Education Code § 51.215
