Certification/Skills:
Current certification with the Association of Professional Chaplains, or equivalent cognate organization.
Current denominational endorsement for specialized ministry in the State of Texas.
Minimum Education:
Master’s degree in Theology or Divinity, or an equivalent from an accredited theological seminary that includes four units of Clinical Pastoral Education or its equivalent training in pastoral counseling.
Minimum Experience:
One year of pastoral ministry required.
Prior experience in a clinical setting with psychiatric inpatients and demonstrated competence in pastoral ministry, communication, and preaching skills preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Exerts up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds frequently and/or up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects.
Security Sensitive:
This job class may contain positions that are security sensitive and thereby subject to the provisions of Texas Education Code § 51.215
