• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
• Detail and goal oriented with high level of initiative, and adept at problem-solving
• Ability to prioritize and track multiple projects, deadlines, and tasks
• Superior written and verbal communication skills with the ability to impart information in a compelling and succinct form. Exceptional proofreading and copy editing skills.
• A journalistic ability to quickly grasp and synthesize specialist knowledge and then make it clear for prospects and donors. Deftness and speed in executing strong writing.
• Experience in InDesign preferred.

Bachelor’s degree in related field required.

Six (6) years of writing/communications experience preferred, including a proven record of successful proposal writing experience in higher education and/or health care and in a fast-paced environment.
Experience writing in a large health care and/or university philanthropic development setting preferred. Management experience preferred.

Exerts up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects preferred.
