Certification/Skills:

Knowledge of technical aspects of electronic equipment and its operation, repair and maintenance.  Ability to run diagnostics and perform preventive maintenance inspections. Knowledge of current regulatory requirements. Ability to analyze, repair and test electronic and electromechanical equipment.  Knowledge of basic anatomy and physiology as applied to use of biomedical equipment. Ability to interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and illustrated parts drawings of biomedical instrumentation. Knowledge of color code conventions used in component and wiring marking.

 

Minimum Education:

Associates degree in electronics or biomedical equipment technology; or relevant experience in lieu of education.

Minimum Experience:

Three (3) years of experience in the repair and maintenance of medical equipment.

Physical Requirements:

Exerts up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds frequently and/or up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects.
