Qualifications:

 

  •  Ph.D. degree in biostatistics, statistics, or related field and/or an MD with experience in leading clinical trials

  • experience as an independent researcher with funded research studies

  • experience with presentations at national and international conferences

  • record of high-quality peer-reviewed publications

  • strong communication skills (oral and written)

 

Preferences:

 

  • background in public health studies

  • excellent track record of mentorship and working with graduate students

  • expertise in grant writing

  • broad background in trial design (e.g. adaptive randomization, seamless trials, group sequential monitoring, Bayesian adaptive design)

  • experience with multicenter clinical trials

  • experience with innovative trial designs and inclusion of complex data in clinical trials (e.g., EHR data, wearable devices, mobile health)

  • use of auxiliary information or historical controls for trial planning
